Site broken?

Fix a broken site

Every blocker eventually catches something a site needs. AdBolish makes undoing it the easy part: one button shows what was just blocked, and one more lets it through.

Temporary allows expire on their own; Always allow adds an exclusion.

Use cases

When you'll reach for it — Fix a broken site

Real situations, not a feature list.

  • A checkout page hangs on the payment step.
  • A streaming app won't play, or a game can't sign in.
  • An email link redirect goes nowhere.
  • You just want to know whether AdBolish is the cause at all.

What it does

Everything Fix a broken site handles

Built into AdBolish, and on by default where it should be.

Always one click away

Site broken? sits at the top of Overview, Realtime and Exclusions, and in the tray menu.

The last minute, grouped

Domains blocked in the last minute, grouped by site, or the last 10 minutes if you need to look further back.

Allow for 1 hour

Let it through for now and have it blocked again afterwards. When in doubt, choose this.

Always allow

Adds the domain to your exclusions for good.

Pause to test

Pause 5 min turns blocking off briefly, so you can tell whether AdBolish is the cause.

How it works

Using it, step by step

  1. 1

    Retry the broken thing

Reload the page or retry the app so the block shows up.

  2. 2

    Click Site broken?

At the top of Overview, or right-click the tray icon and choose Something broken? Allow a site.

  3. 3

    Allow the related domain

Pick Allow for 1 hour or Always allow, then reload.

Block now

If nothing looks related and the site still breaks, pause for five minutes. If it works while paused, AdBolish is the cause and you can allow domains one at a time; if it's still broken, AdBolish isn't the cause.
