Realtime
Realtime log
The Realtime page is the live view. Every block appears as it happens, with the program that asked and the exact rule that caught it, so you can see what your PC is really doing.
The log lives in memory only and is gone when AdBolish closes.

Use cases
When you'll reach for it — Realtime log
Real situations, not a feature list.
- See what a new app contacts the moment you launch it.
- Find the domain behind a feature that stopped working.
- Let one app reach a domain without allowing it for everything else.
- Narrow the log to threats only, or to one program.
What it does
Everything Realtime log handles
Built into AdBolish, and on by default where it should be.
Live, newest first
Time, domain, app, network, category and matched rule for every recent block.
Filter by group or app
Ads, Privacy, Threats, Content or Other, the same groups as the sidebar, and All apps narrows it to one program.
Search
Filter by domain or network as you type.
Pause the stream
Freeze the log while you read, then resume.
Four ways to allow
Allow the domain, its whole network, everything one app looks up, or the domain for that app only.
Guard rails
Allowing a whole web browser asks first, because it turns ad blocking off for every site in it.
How it works
Using it, step by step
- 1
Open Realtime
It's the last page in the sidebar's Protection section.
- 2
Find the row
Type a domain or network, pick a group, or choose an app.
- 3
Allow exactly what's needed
Use the row's Allow menu. Per-app choices need Windows to have said which app asked.
Under the hood
How it actually works
What the log holds, and what it doesn't.
- Contents
- Blocked requests only; allowed lookups are never recorded
- Columns
- Time, Domain, App, Network, Category, Matched rule
- Groups
- Ads, Privacy, Threats, Content, Other
- Retention
- In memory while AdBolish runs; not saved to disk
Other holds the plumbing: blocked secure DNS services (so apps can't route around AdBolish), Firefox's secure DNS check, and your own custom blocks. Telling apps apart needs the protection service.
